Good times! On vacation from Canada so I did my research from home before we left. It was a very intense escape room!
Unfriendly staff and equipment barely worked. Please replace the chalkboard. Contains buzz wire so do not recommend for those with shaky hands as it could take up a lot of your time.
Clean and family friendly; but the spy heroes game itself was certainly not as immersive (or as fun prop-heavy) as other escape room games, so it dragged a little at times, even if we are not that experienced/great at such games. Use of walkie talkies to speak to game operators was clunky and not great, and the clues when needed were not as slick as other escape rooms, and the poor acoustics in the room did not help the overall experience; but would still visit again to try the other games at this venue, as it is a nice venue and just think the other games (by the sounds of it) would be better suited to our group. So thanks nonetheless AIM escape rooms.
Well our walkie talkie didn't work and that wasted 30 minutes of our time. The key that I picked up in the first 2 minutes didn't fit in the place it was suppose to hence why we were contacting the staff and we was getting no response because it was broke. They had to manually let us through to the next bits because of broken equipment. They gave us an extra 10 mins or so.. but when I came out and said it wasn't fair that we didn't have a working walking talkie and the key didn't fit.. I was told to not complain because they gave us lots of clues and gave us an extra 10 minutes. I'm not being funny, but if someone went to a hotel that I worked at and the swimming pool didn't work 5 out of 7 days in the holiday although it was suppose to work 7 days and I said you shouldn't complain because it worked 5 days and I had it open and extra hour on one of the days.... That's just bloody ridiculous. Honestly, the woman was so so so rude and her customer service is appalling. I didn't bother saying anything else because it would make me angry. She also laughed when I said it's ridiculous but don't worry.... Anyway... Not worth £60
First time in an escape room was a bit difficult but the game master gave us extra time and we completed it. Was great fun !
Was very innovative never been to an escape room like it before would very much recommend it to young adults
Worth the experience! First time doing an escape room and would definitely do it again! Escaped with a minute to spare!
Nice linear escape room. Bit to heavy on computer/on screen puzzels Which made it less emmersive for us.
Great use of tech. A fun, mainly linear game. Great sets, and well-built props make the game very immersive. Walkie talkie contact with the games master was the only moan, it was clunky and incongruous, other games make that interaction much slicker .
An experienced team might find the spy game a bit easy, so probably worth looking at their two other games.
Overall quite a fun room. A lot of technology. It wasn’t always clear what you needed to do, and unfortunately on a few occasions the technology failed which deterred from the fun. Non linear in elements which was good for our group of 3. A good room but they need to sort the technology out as very frustrating when it fails.
Very fun and inventive. Use of technology was great, and the puzzles were very interesting. Did not have to use many clues.
Had so much fun, this was our first time and believe me we will be booking another room soon. We went as a family from the ages of 18-45 and it gave us the chance to work together. We managed to escape with a second to spare.
My wife booked 2 rooms one after another and I was quite skeptical about going to spy heroes as I thought it might be a bit boring. I take this back, it's honestly one of the most technologically advanced and active escape room we have ever tried. I look forward to coming back to play the other two rooms Hangover and Patient.
Terrific, would definitely recommend!
Fun challenging experience, sad that me and my friend didn't manage to win but that just makes me want to come back and nail it. Was more challenging than I expected and being a competitive person I really enjoyed it and appreciate the creative work behind the design of it all. Would highly recommend for a small group of friends, 2nd time I ever tried an escape room, both with widely different themes and puzzles - I think I've found my go-to event for special occasions.
